CECEP owns a number of national class-A design institutes and engineering construction enterprises that were originally affiliated to the Ministry of Machinery Industry, the Ministry of Geology and Minerals, and the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. With a full range of engineering construction services, it has been selected as one of the Top 30 Chinese Outsourcing Engineering Enterprises by the Ministry of Commerce of China and ENR's largest 225 international contractors for many years. The business covers 110 countries and regions around the world, and has completed about 60,000 engineering projects of various types.
