On June 12, the preliminary design review for the Chittagong Medical College Burn Unit Project in Bangladesh, undertaken by CECEP China Qiyuan Engineering Corporation for design and management, was completed. A memorandum of the design review meeting was signed. The Minister of Health of Bangladesh, Dr. Samanta Lal Sen, attended the meeting and highly praised the project team’s professional competence and dedication.

The project involves constructing a new six-story specialized burn unit building with a total floor area of approximately 9,000 square meters and 150 beds. The facility will include outpatient and emergency departments, operating rooms, an ICU, and an HDU, along with the provision of medical equipment and furniture. Upon completion, the project will significantly improve local medical infrastructure, enhance burn treatment capabilities, and benefit the local population.
