On June 5th, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, together with the Office of the Central Guidance Commission on Building Spiritual Civilization and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, held the 2024 National Event on the Environment Day in Nanning City. The theme of this event was "Comprehensively Promote the Development of a Beautiful China". Huang Runqiu, Minister for Ecology and Environment, Liu Ning, Party Secretary of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Lan Tianli, Chairman of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, attended the event. Song Xin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CECEP, was invited to attend and delivered a speech.

Song Xin emphasized that vigorously promoting the construction of waste-free cities is a concrete action to deeply implement Xi Jinping Thought on  Ecological Civilization, a crucial measure in the battle against pollution, and a powerful lever to facilitate comprehensive green transformation and high-quality development of the economy and society, thereby significantly contributing to the realization of a beautiful China. As a central enterprise specializing in energy conservation and environmental protection, CECEP has actively engaged in the pollution control campaign. It has conducted a series of innovative explorations in support of regional waste-free city construction, establishing multiple demonstration projects in Shandong, Anhui, Hubei and other places. These efforts have led to the exploration of various business models such as "dual carbon planning + customized services", "ecological environment restoration + clean energy", "green and low-carbon development of industrial parks + full lifecycle services", "big data + precise environmental governance", and integrated protection and comprehensive management of mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands and deserts. These solutions have achieved win-win cooperation with localities, delivering ecological, economic and social benefits. CECEP is committed to supporting the construction of beautiful China with its capabilities and services, and is willing to collaborate with all sectors of society to make new contributions to harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature in China's modernization journey.

During the event, CECEP subsidiary, Feixi Environmental Protection Energy Co., Ltd., was honored as one of the Top 10 Environmental Facilities Open Units in 2024 and received the award on site. The event also included the release of the 2023 China Ecological Environment Report, a thematic exhibition titled "Seeing Beautiful China from Here"， and the launch of the "Beautiful China, I am a Mover" series of promotional activities, effectively telling the story of beautiful China. 

During his visit, Song Xin conducted on-site inspections of the Guangxi Solid Waste (Hazardous Waste) Disposal Center project and put forward specific requirements.
