The First Annual Hong Kong Climate Forum was successfully held at the University of Hong Kong on March 25-26. Government officials, business leaders, financial institutions, academics and think tanks from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the San Francisco Bay Area of the United States gathered to discuss climate policy, green innovation and sustainable finance through keynote speeches, high-level dialogues and workshops. Financial Secretary of Hong Kong Paul Chan Mo-po and President of the University of Hong Kong, Zhang Xiang, delivered opening remarks, while Director Zhou Guomei of the International Cooperation Department of China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment delivered an important speech on behalf of Minister Huang Runqiu. Liao Yuan, Executive Director and General Manager of the Hong Kong-based company, represented CECEP at the forum and participated in a roundtable dialogue on corporate leadership and climate finance. Throughout the meeting, the company promoted CECEP leading position and professional advantages in energy conservation and environmental protection in China, highlighted its positive contributions to national carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, and shared key achievements in climate investment and financing domestically.
