On January 19th, the Yantai Huangbohai New Area held its 2023 work summary and 2024 economic work conference at Bajiaowan International Convention and Exhibition Center. The conference aimed to deeply study and implement the spirit of the central and provincial party committee's economic work conferences, summarize the work of 2023, and arrange and deploy work tasks for 2024 and the future. It called for further unity of thinking and consensus among the entire region, based on a new starting point, to embark on a new journey and create a new situation. The goal is to strive for the accelerated construction of a green, low-carbon, and high-quality development demonstration zone. Bao Hua, Secretary of the Working Committee and Director of the Administrative Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, while Liu Jianmin, Deputy Secretary of the Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee, presided over the meeting. 

The conference objectively summarized the past year and pointed out that the path of economic development was not easy, but each step was taken firmly. The entire region resolutely implemented the central government's decisions and deployments, as well as the work requirements of the province and the city. They overcame the tremendous pressure of the downturn in the industrial economy, the difficulties of insufficient consumer demand, and the severe challenges of the foreign investment and foreign trade situation. They shouldered the responsibility of sprinting towards a trillion-yuan region, and promoted the comprehensive Party building, the further enhancement of comprehensive strength, the coordinated and orderly advancement of urban-rural development, the solid and effective protection of people's livelihood, and the harmonious and stable overall social situation. 

During the meeting, outstanding contributions were recognized, including enterprises and entrepreneurs in the region for the year 2023. Valiant was awarded the title of Excellent Contribution Enterprise for High-quality Development in the Huangbohai New Area in 2023, and Huang Yiwu, the Party Secretary and Chairman, was honored with the title of Excellent Contribution Entrepreneur for High-quality Development in the Huangbohai New Area in 2023. The subsidiary company, Yantai Gem Chemicals, was recognized as the Outstanding Contribution Enterprise for High-Quality Development in the Huangbohai New Area in 2023, and Cui Yanglin, Chairman and General Manager, received the title of Outstanding Contribution Entrepreneur for High-Quality Development in the Huangbohai New Area in 2023.
