CECEP Green Carbon Environment Protection (Zunyi) transforms distillers’ grains and high concentration wastewater into organic liquid fertilizer and provides it to local farmers for free in a bid to ensure enough fertilizer during the spring farming. In the first quarter of this year, the company provided 18,559 tons of free organic liquid fertilizer to local farmers, helping more than 300 farming households conduct spring farming in an orderly manner.

As early as in July 2014, CECEP Green Carbon Environment Protection (Zunyi) worked with Kweichow Moutai Group on China’s first project on scale transformation of distillers’ grains and high concentration wastewater into resources. With the project, Kweichow Moutai Group can turn 100,000 tons of distillers’ grains and 50,000 tons of wastewater into 11.78 million cubic meters of natural gas and around 100,000 tons of organic fertilizer each year. Since passing inspection in 2019, the project has been kept running for two years, becoming an example in controlling pollution in the Chishui River basin as part of the Yangtze River environment protection program.
