At the recent competitive review of the 2021 first national projects for integrated protection and restoration of mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands and deserts, China Geo-Engineering Corporation’s integrated biodiversity protection and restoration of the Wuling Mountain area in southwest China’s Guizhou Province ranked second among the selected projects.
At the recent competitive review of the 2021 first national projects for integrated protection and restoration of mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands and deserts, China Geo-Engineering Corporation’s integrated biodiversity protection and restoration of the Wuling Mountain area in southwest China’s Guizhou Province ranked second among the selected projects.
Focusing on biodiversity conservation, the project implemented four measures: protection and conservation, natural restoration, artificial restoration, and ecological reconstruction. Nearly 5.4 billion yuan was invested in implementing 24 sub-projects in six categories. Through habitat restoration, the stability of the ecosystem has been maintained, the living environment of species has been improved, and the variety of species has increased.
