On the morning of October 18th, the opening ceremony of the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, themed “High-quality Belt and Road Cooperation: Together for Common Development and Prosperity”, was held grandly at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech titled “Building an Open, Inclusive and Interconnected World for Common Development”. President Xi Jinping's keynote speech comprehensively reviewed the fruitful achievements of co-building the Belt and Road, deeply summarized valuable experiences, solemnly proposed eight major initiatives to support high-quality co-building of the Belt and Road, and outlined the development blueprint for high-quality co-building of the Belt and Road. The keynote speech is imbued with a strong sense of responsibility towards history, the people and the world. It vividly expresses China's firm determination and practical actions to join hands with countries around the world in constructing a community with a shared future for mankind. It sets the direction for promoting high-quality development of co-building the Belt and Road, injects powerful positive energy into promoting world peace and development, and evokes enthusiastic resonance among participants and the international community.
On the afternoon of October 18th, the High-Level Forum on Green Development of the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was held in Beijing. The conference released the Beijing Initiative for Belt and Road Green Development and initiated the partnership for green development investment and financing cooperation. Song Xin, representing CECEP, as one of the initiators, launched the partnership for green development investment and financing cooperation, continuously creating a communication and cooperation platform and providing practical solutions for the investment and financing challenges faced in the construction of the green Belt and Road.

During the summit, Song Xin also attended the Belt and Road CEO Conference. The conference released the Beijing Declaration of the Belt and Road CEO Conference and signed a number of practical cooperation projects between Chinese and foreign enterprises.
As a central enterprise focusing on energy conservation and environmental protection, CECEP is an important participant in the Belt and Road Initiative. With practical actions, it collaborates with Belt and Road partners to build a "Green Silk Road". Over the past decade, CECEP has consistently pursued an internationalization strategy, placing equal emphasis on "going global" and "introducing in". It has made efforts to develop influential overseas projects in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection, becoming an important driving force for national energy transition and carbon neutrality in Belt and Road participating countries. By the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan, CECEP had expanded its overseas business to 107 countries and regions, including 39 Belt and Road participating countries and regions. It had undertaken 288 projects with Belt and Road partners, with a total contract value of 20.943 billion RMB.

During the forum, Song Xin expressed in an interview with Finance.china.com.cn that the Belt and Road Initiative plays a significant role in promoting global economic and social development. It is also an important measure to ensure the continuous and stable development of the global supply chain and industrial chain. CECEP, positioned at the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative and the historical starting point of China's global green development initiative and global security development initiative, will actively implement the Belt and Road Initiative. It will adhere to a global market layout, vigorously explore new markets, new sectors and new businesses. While consolidating its existing overseas market foundation, it will radiate and drive surrounding markets. With the goal of "high standards, benefiting the people, and sustainability", it will practice high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
