On October 19th, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) held a symposium on Central Enterprises Supporting the High-Quality Development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt at the Energy Conservation Building in Beijing. The symposium aimed to thoroughly study and implement the important speeches by General Secretary Xi Jinping on promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and discuss the implementation measures. Gou Ping, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of SASAC, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Song Xin, Party Secretary and Chairman of CECEP, participated in the meeting and gave a special report, while Liu Jiaqiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of CECEP, also attended the meeting. 

It was pointed out at the meeting that promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is a major decision made by the Party Central Committee and a significant strategic matter related to the overall development of the country. It emphasized the need to deeply understand the important role of promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt in implementing the new development concepts and building a new development paradigm from a strategic and long-term perspective. It also highlighted the crucial mission and responsibility of central state-owned enterprises in promoting high-quality development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It emphasized the importance of maintaining a strategic focus on comprehensive protection while avoiding excessive development, adhering to an ecological priority and green development approach. It further emphasized the need to closely integrate the industrial advantages of central enterprises with local resource endowments, and exert greater efforts in areas such as high-level protection and high-quality development, striving to become the main and leading force in the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. 

The meeting emphasized the need to adopt the spirit of "I may not benefit from the success, but the success will surely benefit from me" and strive to make greater contributions in promoting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It called for leveraging the strength of central state-owned enterprises to support and serve China's modernization with Chinese characteristics. 

In the report, Song Xin stated that CECEP adheres to Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and earnestly implements the important speeches and instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during the four symposiums. They always keep in mind the overall interests of the nation and actively practice the concept of "Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets". They consciously serve the national major strategies, particularly the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. They have taken on the important responsibility as the main platform for pollution control in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. They have taken proactive actions, implemented measures rigorously, and actively sought solutions to the problems and difficulties that hinder the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. They have integrated the protection of the Yangtze River and the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, striving to secure long-term momentum, implementing sustainable strategies, and establishing a solid foundation for long-term stability. 

Representatives from the departments and bureaus of SASAC, as well as representatives from China Three Gorges Corporation, Sinochem Group, CIECC, China National Building Materials Group, and other related officials, attended the meeting. 

Prior to the meeting, Gou Ping also conducted research on CECEP and received a briefing on the progress of the "Yangtze Cloud" initiative.
