On July 24, Liao Jiasheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CECEP, held a meeting with Xia Zuyi, Secretary-General and Vice President of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences (CSES), at the CECEP headquarters. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on further cooperation. Zhu Qingfeng, Member of the Party Committee and Chief Accountant of CECEP, attended the meeting.
Liao Jiasheng welcomed Xia Zuyi and his entourage and presented the recent development of CECEP. He emphasized that as a central SOE with energy conservation and environmental protection as its core business, CECEP strives to be a leader in its own field, a demonstrator of green and low-carbon development, and a promoter of building a Beautiful China. CECEP looks forward to deepening strategic cooperation with CSES in areas such as technological innovation in energy conservation and environmental protection, project development, technology application, and international exchanges, so as to jointly make greater contributions to the construction of a Beautiful China.
Xia Zuyi expressed his gratitude to CECEP for its long-term support to the work of CSES. He pointed out that CSES is a highly influential academic association in the field of ecology and environment in China, and an important force in advancing the country’s ecological and environmental protection undertakings as well as its science and technology innovation system. He said CSES looks forward to further strengthening cooperation with CECEP in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, standard system development, and science popularization and education, so as to jointly elevate ecological civilization to a new height.
Participants of the meeting also included Chen Yongmei, Secretary-General Assistant of CSES; heads of the Technology Promotion Department, the Science Popularization Department, and the Science and Technology Evaluation Department of CSES; as well as heads of the Cooperation Department, the Science and Technology Department, and the Research Center of CECEP.
